Wimbledon, which takes place in the first two weeks of July every year, is a prestigious Grand Slam event that draws in a lot of attention from sports bettors across the globe. Many people tune in due to the drama and entertainment that is always on show, and there are plenty of tennis bets placed over two weeks. The 2024 men's Wimbledon will take place between the 1st and the 14th of July, and below you can find out who I think will go on and win.

🎾 Wimbledon Mens Final Betting Odds

There will be a total of 128 players taking part at Wimbledon this year and just like with other Grand Slams the format is straight knockout until only one player is left standing. This means that there will be no fewer than 64 matches that you can place some bets on.

Below I will take you through four players who I feel have the best chance of going on to win the prestigious title that is on offer. Under each player, you will find the top 2024 Wimbledon men's odds that three top betting sites are currently offering.

1️⃣Novak Djokovic

Novak Djokovic is usually the favourite at Grand Slams, but he is not this time around because he underwent knee surgery just over four weeks ago. He is currently the third favourite, and many will probably not back him to win due to their concerns over his knee. However, he has been solid in training and even took part in some practice sets against Jannik Sinner, the current world number one. The Serb will relish being the underdog and will have extra motivation to win because one Grand Slam will see him become the sole owner of the most Slam titles in tennis history.

2️⃣ Carlos Alcaraz

Alcaraz will head into this competition full of confidence as he picked up his third Grand Slam title in Paris at the beginning of June. His game is suited for any surface, but what helps to give him the edge on grass is his incredible movement - he just glides across and court and put in a slide if need be. He also has no issue with coming forward to the net, which is very important on grass. He is also the reigning champion, so he will be motivated to retain his title.

3️⃣ Jannik Sinner

Before the draw was made, many would have been licking their lips at the thought of a Sinner vs Alcaraz final, but this can no longer happen as they are both on the same half of the draw. Sinner started the year in fine style by winning the Australian Open, and he has since gone on to win three other titles this season. The fact that he has knocked Djokovic off his number one perch is a testament to how good he has been, and he enters this competition full of confidence as he recently won the ATP 500 Halle Open, which is also played on grass. He has a tough draw this time around, but he will still fancy his chances of going all the way.

4️⃣ Alexander Zverev

The German is yet to win a Grand Slam title, but there is no doubt that he has the skills to do so. He has been playing some of the best tennis of his career this year, and he made it to his first Slam final in four years in Paris last month. He ended up missing out on the title, but he made Alcaraz work for it. He is always a tricky customer for his opponents due to his aggressive nature, his quality backhand, and the fact that he moves very well across the court despite his height. To top things off, he also has one of the most powerful serves in the game. There are not many who will relish playing against him at SW19 this year.

📊 Wimbledon Winners

When you are placing wagers on any kind of sports event, it is always a good move to check out some previous champions before you go ahead and slap your bet down. Some players just seem to excel in particular conditions and always bring their A-game with them. Also, experience in going deep in competitions is very useful as players quickly learn how to cope with the pressure that comes with it. Below you can find the results of the most recent Wimbledon finals:

🏆 Wimbledon Mens Final Prediction

The bookmakers reckon that one of Sinner or Alcaraz will go on and win Wimbledon this year, but I am going to be putting my money on Djokovic. He might have only had knee surgery a month ago, but the man is a machine and I reckon that his knee will hold up across the two weeks. He has won Wimbledon a total of seven times, so performing to the best of his ability in London is not new to him. He was playing some good tennis at Roland Garros before he had to withdraw, and I back him to carry this form into Wimbledon.

My Wimbledon Prediction: Novak Djokovic to win.

⭐ Wimbledon Betting Tips

So, now that you are fully aware as to who I think will go on an win 2024 Wimbledon, I am now going to provide you with some other Wimbledon men's betting tips that you should think about if you opt to put down a wager. As always, whenever you are betting on sporting events, please ensure that you gamble responsibly.

Who is My Dark Horse?

All sporting events have their dark horses and some players who I think you should keep an eye on who have much longer odds than the three favourites include Alexander Zverev, Alex De Minaur, Daniil Medvedev, and Cameron Norrie. I can see these players having a good run in this year's tournament, and they might even shock one of the top three.

Top Tip 1: Bet on Medvedev as a dark horse: It feels really strange to call Medvedev a dark horse as we all know how good he can be on his day, but the bookmakers are not giving him much hope of winning the Wimbledon title this year. However, this provides us with some good value, especially for an each-way wager. Grass is not his favourite surface, but his strong return of serve, his extreme fitness levels, and his long and flat groundstrokes makes him a tricky opponent for many top players.

Each Way Betting

In tennis, you have the option of placing an each-way bet, which is where you are placing two separate bets - the first is for your selected player to make it to the final and the second is for your player to win the final. Therefore, even if your player loses the final, you will still get some sort of return. If you are thinking about putting down an each-way wager, then below are some stats to think about:

  • 18 of the previous 20 finalists were ranked 9th or higher in the world rankings.
  • 8 of the previous ten winners have been ranked in the world's top three.
  • All of the previous ten winners had won at least one major.
  • Ten of the previous ten winners had a career success rate of 74% on the grass court.

Top Tip 2: Place an each-way bet on Zverev: If you are considering putting down an each-way wager, then I would suggest that you put your money on Alexander Zverev. He enters Wimbledon in pretty fine form after having made it to the final at Roland Garros. His aggressive style of play, his extremely quick backhand, and his movement across the court makes him a worthy adversary even for the best of the best. He has yet to win a Slam, but I do not see this lasting too much longer.

Who Would I Not Bet On?

There will always be at least one player who underperforms and does not live up to the quality we know that they have. Plenty of tennis bettors will have slapped money on them, expecting them to do well, but they will ultimately end up counting their losses when they end up crashing out early.

Top Tip 3: Do not bet on Tsitsipas to win: I would not recommend that you bet on Stefanos Tsitsipas to win Wimbledon 2024 as he had quite an average 2024. He did win the Masters Series Monte Carlo back in April, beating Casper Ruud in the final, but his form has dropped off a bit as of late. He will be hoping that he does not come across Alcaraz at any time as the Spaniard has his number. His main weakness is that he has one of the weakest backhands on the circuit, and his opponents now focus on that.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions About Wimbledon

What Are the Best Betting Sites for Wimbledon 2024?

Any quality betting site which is serious about the industry that they are in will offer a range of markets and competitive odds for Wimbledon 2024. However, there are three sites that I recommend above the rest, and these are Betiton, BetUK sport, and All British Sport.

Who Will Win the 2024 Wimbledon?

There are a number of players who will fancy their chances of going on to win Wimbledon this year, but the player who I am backing to come out on top is Novak Djokovic. Yes, he has just returned from knee surgery, but the man is an absolute machine and looks fit enough to go the distance. He is always extremely accomplished on grass, having won no fewer than seven Wimbledon titles.

Who Has the Most Wimbledon Titles?

Out of the players who are currently still playing, Djokovic has won the most Wimbledon titles as he has won it seven times - 2011, 2014, 2015, 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2022.
