France's last Euro 2024 group game will see them take on Poland at the Westfalenstadion in Dortmund at 17:00 GMT on the 25th of June. The French know that they will book themselves a spot in the Round of 16 if they manage to avoid defeat, but they will be eager to finish at the top of their group to give themselves an easier passage in the Round of 16. As for Poland, well they were the first team to be eliminated from the competition, but they will want to give their fans something to cheer about at least. Will they be able to do so? Read on to find out my views.
🏆 France vs Poland Prediction
France, ahead of the competition starting, were one of the favourites to go on and lift the title but, like England, they have not played to their full potential as of yet. However, unlike England, I fully expect them to hit their groove at some point in this competition, and I can see that happening against Poland as they will be eager to top the group, which could eventually come down to goal difference if the Netherlands beat Austria.
Not many punters would have put their money on Poland to pass from this tricky group, and so this has come to pass. In fact, they were the first team to get eliminated from the competition. They can still match Austria's tally of three points, but they cannot overtake them as head-to-head is the first criterion being used to separate teams. While a loss to the Netherlands is no embarrassment, they will be disappointed in their showing against Austria, where they barely laid a glove on them.
I believe that Poland will leave this competition without a single point as I cannot see them beating a quality France side, even one that has slightly underperformed so far. As for the scoreline, I am going for a 2-0 win for France.
My Prediction: 🏆 France 2 Poland 0 ⚽
💯 France vs Poland Betting Odds
All established and new UK betting sites that are worth considering signing up with will offer a variety of markets and competitive odds for big competitions such as the European Championship. There are many top bookies out there for British football bettors, but below you can find five of the very best alongside their current odds for this France vs Poland match.
Those who would like to find out more about these top bookies before registering with them can find plenty of information on our bookmaker reviews section.
🏅 France vs Poland: Match Winner Odds
How have Poland done in the past against France? Well, if you are a Polish fan you might want to look away as their record against Les Bleus is poor. From 17 matches, they have managed just three wins, while France have managed to win nine of them. They played against each other at the 2020 World Cup in Qatar and ended up losing 3-1.
My five selected bookmakers believe that there is only one outcome for this match, and you will probably not be surprised to find out that it does not involve a Poland win. Below are the match winner odds for this match:
Team | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
France | 1.25 | 1.25 | 1.29 | 1.28 | 1.28 |
Draw | 5.60 | 5.60 | 5.50 | 5.80 | 5.80 |
Poland | 9.45 | 9.45 | 10.00 | 10.00 | 10.00 |
⚽ France vs Poland: Both Teams To Score Odds
Not only do the bookies think that Poland will get no points out of this match, but they also do not think that they will manage to score a consolation goal. This means that they would exit the competition having just scored two goals. Below you can see the both teams to score odds:
BTTS | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Yes | 2.09 | 2.09 | 2.00 | 1.93 | 1.98 |
No | 1.66 | 1.66 | 1.73 | 1.65 | 1.72 |
🥅 France vs Poland: Over/Under Goals Odds
The bookmakers are pretty confident that there will be over 2.5 goals scored in this game, but since they do not think Poland will score it tells us that they believe that there is a good chance that France will run out 3-0 winners in this match. Those who enjoy dabbling in the over/under 2.5 goals market can check out the current odds below:
Over/Under 2.5 Goals | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Over 2.5 | 1.57 | 1.57 | 1.61 | 1.55 | 1.60 |
Under 2.5 | 2.24 | 2.24 | 2.25 | 2.25 | 2.32 |
✔️ France vs Poland Betting Tips
This betting guide has dealt with the France vs Poland odds for three popular markets, and I will now give you some of my France vs Poland betting tips.
No matter if you are betting with your own money or some free bet, it is always important to never gamble beyond your means. Set a budget, and stick to it. Do not chase losses and consider setting up deposit limits.
- Tip 1: Bet on France to win: For me, France have the best squad in the league, and I do not think a single Polish player would make it into their squad - not even Lewandowski. Poland will be able to play more freely because they are already out, France should still have too much firepower for their opponents. I would like the underdogs to win, but I do not see it happening. You can find odds of 1.29 for a France win at 10Bet.
- Tip 2: Bet on both teams not to score: Poland have created numerous chances in their first two matches, notching 12 shots against the Netherlands and 15 shots against Austria, but from these 27 attempts on goal they only have two goals to their name. I do not think the French defence, with the likes of Saliba and Upamecano, will allow them to have many shots on their goal, so I can see France keeping a clean sheet. Those who agree can find odds of 2.00 at 10Bet Sport.
- Tip 3: Back Mbappe to score: Kylian Mbappe sat out of their game against the Netherlands after breaking his nose, but he should take to the field in this match. He has yet to score in this competition, but his pace and skill will get him a goal eventually. Poland do not have the fastest of defenders, so I can see Mbappe giving them a torrid time and scoring after racing through. LeoVegas are offering 1.84 for Mbappe to score.
- Tip 4: Back a 2-0 scoreline: Poland will sit deep and look to attack on the counter, but France will have too much quality up front and will pick their opponents off. I can see France scoring twice while not conceding, and Betiton Sport are offering odds of 5.70 for this outcome.
1️⃣France Update
Against the Dutch, the French looked like they were happy to walk away with a point, leaving them on four points from a possible six. For me, they were lucky to get a draw as I do not think that Simons' goal should have been chalked off. France had two-thirds of the possession in that game, but the Netherlands had the better chances to score. France have not been playing to the best of their ability, but there is no doubt that they have plenty of quality in their squad.
Apart from Mbappe, another French player to keep an eye on in this match is Griezmann. The Atletico Madrid man rarely lets his nation down when he plays for them, and he has no issues finding the back of the net either - he has scored 44 times for France. Below are their previous five results:

Didier Deschamps currently has no injury or suspension issues to deal with ahead of this clash with Poland.
2️⃣Poland Update
Poland knew that they would need to be at the top of their game to stand a chance of qualifying from a tough group, but they have not quite been on it in their first two matches. Yes, they gave the Dutch a bit of a scare in their first match, but they were then poor against Austria and suffered a damaging 3-1 defeat. They have no shot of making it through to the Round of 16 now, so the only thing that they are playing for is pride.
Robert Lewandowski is the player who Polish supporters will be relying on to give them something to shout about. However, the Barcelona forward is not the player that he used to be, especially when playing for Poland. With Barcelona, he can be supported by quality all over the pitch, which is not the same for the national team. Below are their previous five results:
