Everton had a bit of great news on Monday as it was revealed that their 10-point deduction in the Premier League would be reduced to just six, which gives them a huge boost in their fight against the drop. West Ham also had a good Monday as they picked up their first win in 2024. Will the Hammers claim the three points on offer in this match to give their European chances a shot in the arm, or will the Toffees take another step away from the Relegation Zone? Check out my prediction below and all will be revealed.

🏆 Everton vs West Ham: Who Will Win?

Everton fans have had a season to forget, but at least it looks highly likely that they will keep their record of having never been relegated from the Premier League intact. Yes, they only have a five-point cushion above the Relegation Zone, but I feel that there are three worse teams than them in the league this season. When it comes to current form, Everton are sitting in 17th place in the table with eight points from the last 30 that have been on offer - five draws and one win.

West Ham fans have got to be some of the most fickle around as some were calling for David Moyse's head after a poor run of results, even though he took them to Europa Conference League glory last year. After their 4-2 win against Brentford on Monday night, I guess the Scotsman is the best thing since sliced bread again. Despite the fact that the Hammers had not won a match in 2024, they are still well in with a shot of finishing the season with some kind of European football.

Everton will be buoyed by their points increase and are usually pretty tricky to beat at Goodison Park. West Ham's away form has not been too great as of late, so I am tempted to opt for a draw in this one. I am going to predict that this match will end 1-1.

My Prediction: 🏆 Everton 1 West Ham 1 ⚽

💯 Everton vs West Ham Match Odds

These two teams last met in October last year, and Everton left the London Stadium with all three points courtesy of a 1-0 win. It was a pretty even match in terms of shots and shots on target, and a Dominic Calvert-Lewin goal was the difference. That is one for his scrapbook as he has had a poor goal-scoring record as of late.

Established and new UK betting sites alike will take into consideration previous recent matches as well as the current form of the teams that are playing when they are formulating their odds. Below I have given you the odds that five of my favourite bookmakers are currently offering for three top football betting markets.

Everton vs West Ham: Match Winner Odds

The bookies have Everton as the favourites to win this match, which is a little bit surprising to me. I would have predicted the odds on offer to be much closer than they are. Neither team are in top-notch form at the moment, but the Hammers have picked up nearly twice the number of points that the Toffees have over the last ten rounds of matches. Anyway, the odds are what they are, and below you can see the match winner odds for Everton vs West Ham.

Everton vs West Ham: Both Teams To Score Odds

If you regularly check out the BTTS market for the EPL, then you will know that the bookies often regularly favour both teams finding the back of the net. When you take into account the number of goals that are being scored lately in this league, it is little wonder. This match is no exception to this norm, and in the following table you can find the BTTS odds that are being offered for it:

Everton vs West Ham: Over/Under 2.5 Goals Odds

When it comes to the total number of goals that will be scored in this game, the bookies are quite unsure. They are favouring there being over 2.5, but only ever so slightly over there being fewer than 2.5 goals. I am in favour of their being under 2.5 goals, which means that we might have a value bet on our hands here. You can find the odds for over/under 2.5 goals in the following table:

Over 2.51.791.791.801.781.84
Under 2.51.881.881.901.942.00

✔️ Everton vs West Ham - Betting Tips

When you sit down to place some bets, whether you are using your own hard-earned money or some free bets that you have landed, you need to try and find the value bets since this is how you get the most from any sports betting experience. Below you will find my football betting tips for this Everton vs West Ham match.

  • Tip 1: Bet on a draw: The last draw between these two teams happened way back at the start of 2020, so I think it is about time for another one. Everton have drawn their last three home matches against Aston Villa, Tottenham, and Crystal Palace, which tells us that Goodison Park is a place where teams struggle to win. I think Everton's defence will be able to cope pretty well with West Ham's attack, and another draw will be on the cards. 10Bet Sport are offering odds of 3.65 for a stalemate.
  • Tip 2: Bet on both teams to score: 69% of West Ham's away matches this season have seen both teams find the back of the net, while five of the last ten games that Everton have played have seen both teams scoring. In all honesty, this is one of those matches that could end up being a dour 0-0, but I am going to be optimistic and predict that both teams will score. If you also think that both Everton and West Ham will score, then you can find odds of 1.72 at BetUK Sports.
  • Tip 3: Bet on Jarrod Bowen to score: The Englishman had not scored in seven matches prior to his hat-trick against Brentford on Monday evening, and he will enter this match full of confidence. Despite his previous goal drought, he was still causing plenty of issues for opposing defences. I think he will have plenty of success against Everton's defence, and I can see him finding the back of the net. At the time of writing, Betiton Sport are offering odds of 3.90 for him to score - pretty decent value, if you ask me.
  • Tip 4: Bet on a 1-1 scoreline: If you have read any of my previous predictions, you will know that I like to take a look at the correct score market due to the enticing odds that are on offer. I think both teams will score in this match, but there will be nothing to separate them come the end of 90 minutes. If you want to bet on a 1-1 scoreline, then Mr. Mega Sports are offering odds of 6.40 at present.

The final bit of advice that I am going to give you is related to all types of betting, and not just this match. This advice is to always gamble responsibly and stop when the fun stops.

Everton Update

Everton did not even play on Monday, but the fact that their points deduction for breaking financial fair play rules was reduced to six points will feel like a big win for them. This has given them a 5-point cushion above the Relegation Zone, and they can now play their next few games with less pressure on their shoulders. This newfound freedom could spell doom for the likes of Luton Town and Brentford.

The Toffees have been the draw masters this season as only Brighton have secured more than their seven. Five of these seven draws have come over the space of their last six matches, so I think this helps to emphasise why I have opted to predict that this match will also end in a stalemate. Below are Everton's previous five EPL results:

Sean Dyche has five injuries ahead of this clash with West Ham, and you can see all of their missing players in the table below. Everton's biggest loss will be Idrissa Gueye as he does all of the dirty work in the middle of the park.

2️⃣West Ham Update

West Ham entered 2024 on a bit of a high, but a string of poor results had left fans questioning whether Moyes was the right man to take the club forward. A bit of pressure will be off of the Scotsman's shoulders now after their thrilling 4-2 win against Brentford on Monday evening. If they can go deep in the Europa League and book themselves a spot in next season's competition, then that should be considered a pretty successful season for the Hammers.

When it comes to form over the previous ten rounds of matches, West Ham are in 9th place with four wins, three draws, and three losses. They have conceded more than they have scored in this time, which is something that will make those of a West Ham persuasion quite wary.

Moyes is one of the luckiest managers in the league at the moment as he actually has no players out injured. Other managers would give their right arm in order to be in a similar situation.
