The first match of Round 25 of the English Premier League sees Brentford welcome Liverpool to the Gtech Community Stadium. This is a big game for both teams, but at other ends of the table. Liverpool need a win to keep the pressure on Manchester City and Arsenal, while Brentford are too close to the Relegation Zone for their liking. Will Liverpool pick up a routine win, or will Brentford cause a shock and collect three much-needed points? Keep on reading to find out.
🏆 Brentford vs Liverpool: Who Will Win?
I like Thomas Frank (apart from the fact that he chews his gum like a cow) and think that he has done a great job at Brentford on a shoestring budget, but there is no doubt that this has been one of his hardest seasons at the club. The Bees would not have been one of the names that many would have put into the relegation hat at the beginning of the season, but they are definitely in a relegation battle as things stand. They are currently sitting in 14th place, but they are just six points above the Relegation Zone. From their previous nine matches, they have only picked up three wins, but the return of Ivan Toney from an eight-month suspension has seen them pick up some much-needed points.
Liverpool are sitting at the top of the table with 54 points from the 24 matches that they have played, but they will be aware of the fact that Manchester City have a game in hand (also against Brentford) coming up. They were poor against Arsenal two matches ago, but they put that behind them with a win over Burnley last weekend. However, they know that they cannot afford any slip-ups between now and May as Arsenal and Man City will be ready to pounce.
I do not think that they will slip up against Brentford on Saturday afternoon as I think that they will end up having too much firepower for the Bees. I am going to back Liverpool to come out on top by a scoreline of 3-1.
My Prediction: 🏆 Brentford 1 Liverpool 3 ⚽
💯 Brentford vs Liverpool Match Odds
Football betting has become very popular among sports bettors, and one of the main reasons for this is the fact that you can bet on any aspect of the game. Whether it is the number of corners in a match or the number of tackles that a player will make or the number of shots on target that a player will have, you can put money on it. However, I am not going to focus on these niche markets for this match, I am going to stick to the good old match winner, both teams to score, and over/under 2.5 goals.
Below you will find the Brentford vs Liverpool odds that a mixture of top new UK betting sites and established ones are offering for my three chosen football betting markets. These sites also offer a range of quality free bets, so click on the logos to find out more about them in our reviews.
Brentford vs Liverpool: Match Winner Odds
When you look at the odds that are on offer for this match, you will see that Liverpool are the huge favourites to go on and win this match. This is not surprising when you see where both teams are sitting at the table and the fact that there is a 29-point gap between the two teams. Liverpool are at the top of the form table over the last ten games, so it will really take something special from Brentford to turn them over. Below are the match winner odds for this game:
Team | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Brentford | 4.85 | 4.85 | 5.25 | 4.90 | 5.20 |
Draw | 4.20 | 4.20 | 4.20 | 4.40 | 4.50 |
Liverpool | 1.55 | 1.55 | 1.57 | 1.60 | 1.57 |
Brentford vs Liverpool: Both Teams To Score Odds
Not only are the bookmakers pretty certain that Liverpool will go on to win this match, but they also think that both teams will end up finding the back of the net. This is something that I can get on board with, and I will explain why in the next section of this betting guide. For now, all you need to concern yourself with are the both teams to score odds that my five top bookies are offering.
Team | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Yes | 1.50 | 1.50 | 1.53 | 1.56 | 1.62 |
No | 2.36 | 2.36 | 2.38 | 2.17 | 2.23 |
Brentford vs Liverpool: Over/Under 2.5 Goals Odds
When it comes to the total number of goals that will be scored in this match, the top sports betting sites are predicting there to be at least three goals in this match. This is hardly surprising when they are adamant that Liverpool will win this match and that both teams will go on to score. Below are the over/under 2.5 goals odds that are being offered for this Brentford vs Liverpool match:
Team | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Over 2.5 | 1.47 | 1.47 | 1.50 | 1.47 | 1.52 |

✔️ Brentford vs Liverpool - Betting Tips
In this section, you will find my football betting tips for this Brentford vs Liverpool game. Before I go and give you my match betting tips, I just want to stress the importance of always gambling responsibly. Also, please never gamble using money that you know you cannot really afford to lose.
- Tip 1: Bet on Liverpool to win: Jurgen Klopp's men have picked up 23 points from the last 30 that have been on offer, while Brentford have only picked up 9 points from the previous ten games that they have played. With such a difference in from between the two teams, I can see nothing but a win for Liverpool. If you want to put money on Liverpool to come out on top, then LeoVegas are offering odds of 1.60 at the moment.
- Tip 2: Bet on both teams to score: In 75% of Liverpool's away games, both teams have been able to find the back of the net. Brentford have scored in eight of their previous ten matches, while Liverpool have scored in nine of their previous ten games. Everything is pointing towards both teams scoring, and you can find odds of 1.62 at BetUK Sports for both Brentford and Liverpool to score in this game.
- Tip 3: Bet on over 2.5 goals: There have been over 2.5 goals in 83% of Brentford's home matches this season, so goals are never in short supply at the Gtech Community Stadium. Liverpool have scored the second-highest number of goals in the league, only behind Manchester City, so the Brentford defenders will definitely have their work cut out for them. BetUK Sports are currently offering odds of 1.52 for there to be at least three goals to be scored in this game.
- Tip 4: Bet on Liverpool to win 3-1: This is one of those matches where there should be plenty of goals, and I think that the result at the end of 90 minutes will be a 3-1 win for Klopp's men. If you agree with me here, then Betiton Sport are currently offering odds of 10.00 for this outcome.
1️⃣Brentford Update
Only Forest, Palace, Sheffield United, and Burnley have performed worse than Brentford in their previous ten matches, so Frank's men really do not to find some form from somewhere. Ivan Toney has scored three goals in the four matches that he has played in since his return from a long suspension, and they will be putting all of their hopes on him to guide them to relative safety.
They need to sure things up at the back because you will not win many English Premier League matches when you are conceding an average of more than 2 goals per match. Below you can see Brentford's previous five EPL games:
Last 5 Premier League Games | |
---|---|
Wolves0 Brentford2 | 10.02.24 |
Brentford1 Manchester City3 | 05.02.24 |
Tottenham Hotspur3 Brentford2 | 31.01.24 |

Crystal Palace3 Brentford1 | 30.12.23 |
Frank has five players that he will not be able to call upon for this match against Liverpool, and you will be able to see their absentees in the following table:

Aaron Hickey | Hamstring Injury |
Bryan Mbeumo | Ankle Injury |
Josh Dasilva | knee Injury |
2️⃣Liverpool Update
Liverpool have seen their gap at the top of the Premier League cut to just two points, so they really cannot afford another slip-up as both Manchester City and Arsenal and in imperious form at present. They know that if they drop points, their rivals will grab the opportunity with both hands.
Liverpool have lost just two matches all season, which gives you an idea as to the immense task that awaits the Bees at the weekend. Let us take a look at the previous five matches that Liverpool have played:
Last 5 Premier League Games | |
