The Champions League matches are coming thick and fast and this time of the season, and the next match that I am going to be focusing on is Porto v Arsenal. This game will be played at the Estádio do Dragão on the 21st of February and will have a kick-off time of 20:00 GMT. Will Arsenal take a big advantage back to London, or will Porto pick up a win and pile the pressure on Arteta's men ahead of the return leg? Let's crack on with this prediction and reveal my thoughts.

🏆Porto vs Arsenal: Who Will Win?

Porto are currently sitting in third place in the Liga Portugal standings, but are not out of the running for the title just yet. They are sitting seven points behind Sporting and Benfica, who both have 52 points under their belt. Porto have not scored as many goals as the other teams in the top five, but their strength this season has been in defence. They have only conceded 13 goals in the 20 matches that they have played. Porto finished second in their UCL group, but in all fairness, it was one of the easiest of the eight groups.

Arsenal are also sitting in third place in their respective league, the English Premier League and they are definitely in the hunt for the title. They are sitting on 52 points, just two points adrift of Liverpool, who are occupying first spot at present. Although Manchester City do have a game in hand, which could end up being very important. They have no issue finding the back of the net, while they have conceded the fewest goals in the league. The Gunners finished at the top of Group B, winning 4, drawing 1, and losing 1 of their 6 matches.

This will be a close match between two evenly-matched teams, and Arsenal will be content if they can manage to leave Portugal with a point under their belt. This is exactly what I think will happen in this match. I am going to go for a 1-1 draw.

My Prediction: 🏆 Porto 1 Arsenal 1 ⚽

💯 Inter Milan vs Atletico Madrid Match Odds

When it comes down to betting on a football match, you will usually be able to find odds for any sort of outcome. For instance, nowadays, you can even better on the number of corners that there will be in a match or the number of throws in that there will be.

However, the three that I will be focussing on, which can be found at all top established and new UK betting sites include the match winner, both teams to score, and over/under 2.5 goals. You can find the odds that five quality bookies are offering for these markets below.

Porto vs Arsenal: Match Winner Odds

The bookmakers currently have Arsenal as the favourites to win this match and are not really giving Porto much hope of getting a positive result. While I can understand Arsenal being the favourites, I do think that the odds that they are offering for a Porto win are a bit insulting. However, I will talk more about my views on this in the next section of this betting guide. For now, all you need to focus on are the match winner odds that can be found in the table below:

Porto vs Arsenal: Both Teams To Score Odds

While the bookmakers are adamant that Arsenal will go on and win this match, are a bit less sure when it comes to the both teams to score market. They are slightly favouring both teams to find the back of the net, but they would not be surprised if this was not the case. I actually think that both teams will score, and I will discuss the reasons why a little bit later on. For now, I will provide you with the both teams to score odds for this Porto vs Arsenal match.

Porto vs Arsenal: Over/Under 2.5 Goals Odds

When it comes to the over/under 2.5 goals market, the bookmakers are, once again, quite undecided. They are slightly favouring at least three goals in this match, but I can see why they are sitting on the fence. Sometimes this is a pretty simple market to predict, but it is definitely not the case when it comes to this match between Porto and Arsenal. If you want to bet on this market, then below are the odds that are being offered:

✔️ Porto vs Arsenal - Betting Tips

Free bets are a great way to place bets on football matches, but whether you are using bonus money or your own, you should always do yourself a favour and check out some betting tips before you go ahead and put down a wager. Therefore, in this part of my betting guide, I will provide you with my tips for this Porto vs Arsenal match.

  • Tip 1: Bet on a draw: The bookies have Arsenal as the overwhelming favourites to win the first leg of this tie, but I think that Porto will be able to take a draw with them to the Emirates. Arsenal might be free-flowing when it comes to scoring goals, but Porto have a very impressive defensive record, conceding just 0.65 goals per game in the league. Arsenal also struggled away from home in the UCL, picking up 4 points from 9. If you want to put money on this match to end in a draw, then LeoVegas are offering odds of 3.85.
  • Bet on both teams to score: Porto actually outscored Barcelona in their group, so it is clear that they do not have any problems when it comes to finding the back of the net. Only two teams scored more goals than Arsenal in the Group Stage, so they also have no issues with regard to scoring. It is for this reason that I reckon both teams will score, and you can find odds of 1.79 at LeoVegas.
  • Bet on under 2.5 goals: While I think both teams will score in this game, I do think that the defence will end up coming out on top, and a goal apiece will be the only goals that are scored. Both of these teams have the toughest defences in their respective leagues, so I think that there will be fewer than three goals scored in this match. At the time of writing, you can find odds of 2.00 at 10Bet Sport.
  • Bet on a 1-1 scoreline: I think the defenders will ultimately come out on top in this match, but I do think that they will be breached on one occasion. If you want to back this match to end 1-1, then Betiton Sport are currently offering odds of 6.80 for this scoreline.

1️⃣Porto Update

Porto are sitting in third place in the table in the Portuguese first division, and they will not have counted themselves out of the running when it comes to lifting the title at the end of the season. They are seven points adrift of the top and know that a couple of wins, coupled with some favourable results, will put them straight back into contention. They will be relatively content with their draw as they avoided the likes of Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Manchester City.

Last season, they narrowly lost to Inter in the Round of 16, and the Italian-based team went on to make it to the final. They will definitely not be any pushovers for Arsenal.

At the time of writing, Sérgio Conceição will pretty much have a full squad of players that he can choose from. He has just the one player out injured at the time of writing. Keep in mind that there is a chance that they will pick up some more injuries by the time this match comes around:

2️⃣ Arsenal Update

Arsenal have been in some pretty fine form as of late, beating Liverpool 3-1 and then putting six goals past West Ham United. As a result, they are currently fighting it out for the title with Liverpool and Manchester City. I do not think that they will go on to win the EPL, but at least they are up there fighting for some silverware. Whatever the outcome, it is sure to be an exciting battle that goes to the wire.

If you were to give Arsenal fans the option of winning the league or the UCL, I am sure that they would opt for the latter as they have never won this competition. In the previous seven UCL competitions that Arsenal have played in, they have been knocked out in the Round of 16.
