The 2023 Cricket World Cup is quickly drawing to a close, and the 43rd match of the tournament will be played between Australia and Bangladesh on November 11th. The game will take place at Pune's Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium with the scheduled start of play being 06:00 GMT. Australia already know that they will be facing South Africa in the semi-finals, while Bangladesh will be looking to finish in the top 8 so that they qualify for the 2025 Champions Trophy. Read on to find out who I think will win and some of the best cricket betting sites to bet on this match.
💯 Australia v Bangladesh Betting Odds
Cricket is one of the most popular sports in the British Isle, which should not come as much of a surprise since it was the English who created this fun game. Many people enjoy watching and betting on it, and bookmakers are well aware of this fact. As a result, the majority of online bookies that you encounter will have some kind of cricket betting platform available. If you want to do some cricket betting, it is wise to make use of the best bookmakers around, and I know just the ones.
Below are betting odds from top British bookies for three markets that I would suggest taking a closer look at in relation to this AUS vs BANG game.
Match Winners Odds: Australia v Bangladesh
Those who want to place a wager on this winner of this Australia v Bangladesh match can find the match winner odds in the following table:
Team | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Australia | 1.07 | 1.07 | 1.12 | 1.10 | 1.12 |
Bangladesh | 5.40 | 5.40 | 6.00 | 5.00 | 6.00 |
Top Batsman Odds: Australia v Bangladesh
When you are sports betting, you should think about the entertainment value on offer ahead of the potential money that can be won. If you are betting with a main focus on winning money, then you are not going to have as much fun, and sports betting, in my view, should be all about fun. This is why I enjoy the top batsman market since it offers high entertainment value. You choose a batsman to top score for his team, and you are then emotionally and financially invested in his innings.
Below you can find three Australian and Bangladeshi batsman that are good shout for this market in this match. You can see the top batsman odds that two top bookies are currently offering:
Australia:
Player | ||
---|---|---|
David Warner | 4.00 | 2.62 |
Steve Smith | 4.00 | 2.87 |
Glenn Maxwell | 5.50 | 6.00 |
Bangladesh:
Player | ||
---|---|---|
Liton Das | 4.50 | 3.60 |
Mushfiqur Rahim | 5.00 | 3.25 |
Mohammad Mahmudullah | 6.00 | 4.00 |
Top Wicket Taker Odds: Australia v Bangladesh
If the top batsman market does not take your fancy, then another really fun market that I always take a look at is the top wicket taker one. With this type of bet, you have to choose a bowler and then hope that they are their team's most successful wicket taker in the match. If you are not supporting either of the teams that are playing, then this can add much-needed excitement to the game.
Below are three players from each team that I believe are worth considering for this market, alongside some enticing top wicket taker odds:
Australia:
Player | ||
---|---|---|
Mitchell Starc | 3.75 | 3.00 |
Josh Hazlewood | *goto William-Hill-Sport[5.50] | 3.75 |
Adam Zampa | 3.75 | 3.60 |
Bangladesh:
Player | ||
---|---|---|
Hasan Mahmud | 5.00 | 3.00 |
Mahedi Hasan | 4.33 | 3.25 |
Nasum Ahmed | 4.50 | 3.25 |
The above odds were correct at the time of writing. For updated odds, go to the bookmakers' sites.
🔍 Australia v Bangladesh Match Winner Prediction
Some cricket fans were writing the Aussies off after their first two defeats, but true cricket fans know that Australia can never be ruled out of a World Cup until they are officially eliminated. They put their first two defeats firmly behind them, and have now won six matches on the trot to book themselves a berth in the semi-finals, where they will take on South Africa.
In their previous games against Afghanistan, we had the pleasure of watching one of the best ODI innings ever. Glenn Maxwell walked to the crease with his team reeling at 91/7, and he smashed 201 from 128 balls to win the match for his country. Someone seems to step up exactly when they need it, which is probably why they have five World Cup titles.
Nobody probably had Bangladesh down for a top four spot, but I did think they would play better than what they have. They have just two wins from eight games, putting in some lacklustre performances throughout the competition. They did beat Sri Lanka in their last game, but the match was overshadowed by Shakib Al Hasan appealing for Angelo Matthews to be dismissed "timed out" - the appeal was upheld.
When you look at the form of both teams and the players in each squad, I can only see one winner in this game, which is Australia. Those teams who find themselves at the bottom of the table will be hoping for an easy Aussie win as they will have their eyes set on qualifying for the Champions Trophy.
My Australia v Bangladesh winner prediction: Australia to win!
✔️ Australia v Bangladesh CWC Betting Tips
Let me now give you some of my Cricket World Cup betting tips for this Australia v Bangladesh match:
Match Winner: Australia to Win
Australia and Bangladesh have played a total of 21 ODI games against each other, and Australia have won 19 times to Bangladesh's 1. So, the Australians have both form and history on their side ahead of this clash. Additionally, they have, in my opinion, a much better bowling and batting unit.
Australia looked like they were going to suffer a big loss to Afghanistan, but Maxwell decided otherwise. His seriously impressive double century highlighted that you need to keep your foot on your opponent's neck when you have them on the ropes. Apart from the first two games of the tournament, Australia have played some quality cricket, and they will want to keep their six match winning streak intact ahead of the semi-finals.
Bangladesh have played some good cricket in parts throughout the tournament, but they have been undone by a lot of bad cricket. They have the players to win against Australia, but I do not feel that they will put in the complete performance that is required to beat the Aussies. It might be closer than what the odds are telling us, but I still expect to see an Australia win.
The odds for Australia to win are 1.12 at Spreadex, which are too short to pay much attention to in my view.
Australia's Top Batsman Winner: David Warner to Win
After that amazing Maxwell innings, you might be surprised to not see his name down for the top batsman, but his innings is not something that comes around that often. I have opted for Warner as he has been consistently good throughout the competition, scoring 446 runs from 8 matches at a 55.75 average - he has hit two centuries as well.
If you would like to bet on Warner to top scorer for Australia, then William Hill are currently odds of 4.00.
Bangladesh's Top Batsman Winner: Liton Das to Win
Liton Das has been one of the most consistent batsman for Bangladesh in this tournament, so it was not a difficult decision to opt for him to top score for them in this game. In 8 matches, he has notched up 248 runs with a 31 average, which is not mightily impressive in all honesty. This tells you everything about the performances of his fellow batters, and a half-century might be enough to see him be their top batsman.
Those who want to back Das to top score for Bangladesh can find odds of 4.50 at William Hill.
Australia's Top Wicket Taker: Adam Zampa to Win Top Wicket Taker
Adam Zampa has been amazing for Australia at this tournament, and not many would have expected him to bowl as well as he has done. Overall, he has 20 wickets from 8 matches at an average of 19.20. He is bowling better than he has done before, and I can see him causing the Bangladeshi batters plenty of issues.
If you want to put money on Zampa to pick up the most wickets in this match, then William Hill currently have odds of 3.75 on offer.
Bangladesh's Top Wicket Taker: Mahedi Hasan to Win Top Wicket Taker
Mahedi Hasan has only taken part in two matches for Bangladesh at this tournament, but he has still picked up 6 wickets at an impressive average of 18.50. If he had been selected for more matches, maybe they would have had more points on the board. He has proven that he can pose plenty of issues to opposing batters, so the Aussies will be wary about him. If they are overly cautious, then they could make some fatal mistakes.
If you want to back Mahedi Hasan to pick up the most Aussie wickets, then William Hill currently odds of 4.33.
