As you can see from the Joshua vs Dubois betting odds in the table above, the top British sports betting sites have Joshua as the big favourite to come out on top in this fight. In fact, they are giving Dubois little chance of causing Joshua many issues, while they have all but ruled out the possibility of the fight ending in a draw.

Are the bookmakers low-balling Dubois and giving him less credit than he deserves, or is this going to be a one-sided affair with Joshua being the comfortable winner? Well, let us take a closer look at each fighter and see what type of form they have heading into this big fight.

⚡ Anthony Joshua Pacheco Overview

Anthony Joshua will enter this fight with 28 wins and 3 defeats in his boxing career, with 25 of his wins coming courtesy of a knockout. This means that his knockout percentage rate stands at an impressive 89%. He is also ranked by the WBO as the number 1 boxer in the world, so you can see what Dubois is up against exactly.

From his previous five visits to the ring, Joshua has been on the winning side of the fence four times, knocking out three of his opponents and going the distance in his other win. His last fight was against Francis Ngannou at the beginning of March in Saudi Arabia, and he knocked him out in the second round. His fight before that was at the end of 2023 against Otto Wallin, also in Saudi Arabia, and he won courtesy of a 5th-round TKO. He also picked up victories against Robert Helenius and Jermaine Franklin. But, who beat him? Well, that honour goes to Oleksandr Usyk in August 2022, who won by split decision.

Joshua's last five was just over six months ago, with his last five bouts having come across a time frame of two years, one month and a day. This means that, on average, he steps into the ring every five months or so. In his last five fights, he has fought in 38 rounds, which means that his fights last an average of 7.6 rounds.

Below you can relive all of the best bits of Joshua's previous fight.

⭐ Daniel Dubois Overview

Daniel Dubois's boxing career record stands at 21 wins and 2 defeats, with 20 of his wins coming via knockout. This means that he has a slightly higher knockout percentage than Joshua, as it stands at 95%, but it must be stressed that he has fought in eight fewer fights than his opponent. While Joshua is ranked as the world number one by the WBO, Dubois sits in sixth which gives us an idea as to the difference in quality between the pair.

Out of his last five fights, Dubois has stopped four of his opponents. His last fight was on the 1st of June against Filip Hrgovic, and he won by TKO in the eighth round. Before that, he took on Jarrell Miller at the end of 2023 and was victorious via TKO in the tenth round. Something that Joshua and Dubois have in common is that their only defeat in their last five bouts has come at the hands of Usyk - Dubois was knocked out by the Ukrainian in their fight in August of last year. Before that, he had beaten Kevin Lerena and Trevor Bryan.

Dubois has not been as active as Joshua as his last five fights have come over a time frame of two years, three months, and ten days. This means that he has fought every five and a half months. In these bouts, he has fought in a total of 34 rounds, meaning that his fights last an average of 6.8 rounds.

💥 Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois: More Than a Belt on the Line

Joshua and Dubois, as I already pointed out above, will be fighting for the IBF heavyweight title on the 21st of September. This came about as Usyk vacated his IBF belt at the end of June, which elevated Dubois to champion status. The Ukrainian had initially wanted to hold on to the belt so that he could still be the undisputed champion when he takes on Tyson Fury at the end of the year, but he then decided to give it up.

While both Dubois and Joshua will be very eager to get their hands on the belt, there is arguably a bigger prize on the line. The winner of this fight will put themselves in pole position to have a crack at the winner of the Usyk vs Fury fight on the 23rd of December. Such a fight will lead to an even bigger payday, that is for certain.

Joshua has had his eyes on a fight with Fury for around four years now, but negotiations have broken down on two occasions. If Joshua, as the bookies expect, comes out on top against Dubois, then he will be hoping that Fury can do Usyk so that he can take on Fury in what many would call the true Battle of Britain.

A request was made to extend the capacity of Wembley to 96,000 for this fight, and it was accepted. Tickets have all but sold out, which means that Joshua and Dubois will take part in a fight that sets a new British boxing attendance record.

📖 Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois Fight History

Joshua and Dubois have not had a professional fight against each other in their careers, but this is not going to be the first time that the duo have been in the same ring. They sparred against each other when Dubois was an amateur in the Great Britain squad. In the past, there have been rumours that Dubois knocked Joshua to the canvas, but the latter has denied that. Dubois himself has declared that he cannot remember anything about those spars and that whatever happened will have little relevance when they meet in the ring on the 21st of September.

🏆 Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois Prediction

Now that you know the odds, the best bookmakers, and some top free bet offers, it is time to provide you with my Joshua vs Dubois betting tips. The bookies have Joshua as the big favourite, and I am finding it hard to disagree with them for several reasons.

For me, Joshua is too strong and clever to lose this one. Yes, Dubois has shown that he has plenty of talent, but there are little flaws there that Joshua will be able to use all of his experience to pick at. For instance, Dubois is sometimes slow when defending a right hook or jab, and Joshua has one of the quickest and most accurate right hands in the sport. If Joshua can land one or two of his big hits, then Dubois will be taking a nap that he knows very little about.

If Dubois can manage to tighten up his defence, then he will have a chance of taking this fight deep, where he might be able to sway the judges' decision. However, from what I have seen in his most recent fights, he gets caught too many times, which is something I cannot look beyond, especially when he is taking on someone with Joshua's strength.

So, my sports betting tip for this fight is to back Joshua to win by knockout.

My Joshua vs Dubois fight prediction: Joshua to win by knockout.
